Kylian Mbappé is the Champions League top scorer 2026/27 favourite at 6.00, in ChampBet odds on 7 October 2026, just ahead of Erling Haaland at 6.50 and Harry Kane at 7.00. After Matchday 1, though, the race is led by Ferran Torres and Ermedin Demirović, who both scored hat-tricks. Our pick is Kane, and our value pick is Raphinha at 13.00.

Predictions are our opinion and football is unpredictable, so treat this as a view, not a promise. Every price below is a ChampBet price on 7 October 2026, and outright prices move after every matchday.

Champions League top scorer odds 2026/27

These are the shortest prices in ChampBet’s Champions League top goalscorer market. Implied chance is 1 divided by the odds, shown as a percentage. Matchday 1 goals are from the official match reports; the BBC has every Matchday 1 result.

Player Club ChampBet odds Implied chance Goals after MD1
Kylian Mbappé Real Madrid 6.00 16.7% 1
Erling Haaland Man City 6.50 15.4% 2
Harry Kane Bayern Munich 7.00 14.3% 1
Ferran Torres PSG 11.00 9.1% 3
Ousmane Dembélé PSG 11.00 9.1% 2
Raphinha Barcelona 13.00 7.7% 2
Lamine Yamal Barcelona 21.00 4.8% 1
Alexander Isak Liverpool 26.00 3.8% 0
Ermedin Demirović VfB Stuttgart 26.00 3.8% 3
Michael Olise Bayern Munich 26.00 3.8% 2
Serhou Guirassy Borussia Dortmund 26.00 3.8% 2
Bellingham, Havertz, Kvaratskhelia, Lautaro Martínez, Vinícius Jr Various 34.00 each 2.9% each 0

The top three add up to about 46%, so the market thinks there is roughly a coin-flip chance that someone outside Mbappé, Haaland and Kane wins it. Across the full list of 88 players, the implied chances add up to well over 100%, because that is how a bookmaker builds its margin. Our guide to how betting odds work explains the maths.

ChampBet graphic showing how to turn decimal odds into an implied probability Implied chance = 1 ÷ odds. A 7.00 price means the market rates the outcome at about 14%.

How is the top scorer market settled?

ChampBet settles Champions League top goalscorer bets on goals scored in 90 minutes and extra time. Goals in a penalty shoot-out do not count. If two or more players finish level, dead-heat rules apply rather than UEFA’s tie-breakers, and the club shown next to a player is for reference only.

Dead heats matter in this market, because ties at the top are common. If you stake ₦1,000 on a player at 7.00 and he finishes joint top with one other player, half your stake is paid at full odds: you get ₦3,500 back instead of ₦7,000. The full wording is in ChampBet’s sports betting rules.

One format detail also matters. Clubs that finish in the top eight of the league phase skip the knockout play-offs. A forward whose club reaches the final through the play-offs can play 17 Champions League games; one whose club went straight into the round of 16 plays 15. Our Champions League betting guide explains the format in full.

The case for the favourites

Kylian Mbappé (Real Madrid), 6.00

Mbappé scored the opener in Real Madrid’s 2-1 win over Inter on Matchday 1, which took him level with Raúl on 71 Champions League goals, fifth on the all-time list. He is Real’s penalty taker, although he missed one at Betis in September. The concern is fitness. He hurt his left knee playing for France against Türkiye in late September, and Sports Illustrated reported that Real’s main aim is to have him fully fit for El Clásico on 25 October. Check his fitness before Matchday 2 at Roma. Real’s remaining league phase run is kind: AEK Athens, LASK, Shakhtar Donetsk, PSV and RB Leipzig are five of their last seven opponents.

Our view: the shortest price in the market while he is injured. We would rather wait.

Erling Haaland (Manchester City), 6.50

Haaland scored both goals in City’s 2-0 win at Porto, a header from Enzo Fernández’s cross and a late finish from Rayan Aït-Nouri’s pass. He also has five goals in five Premier League games. He asked to come off for Norway on 4 October, and Norway’s coach spoke of workload rather than injury. City host PSG on Matchday 2 and visit Barcelona on Matchday 6, but also play AEK Athens, Lens and Sporting. Our Man City vs PSG prediction has the latest on his fitness.

Harry Kane (Bayern Munich), 7.00

Kane headed in Michael Olise’s free kick in the 5-0 win over Bodø/Glimt, a goal in eight consecutive Champions League matches. He is Bayern’s penalty taker: against Union Berlin on 18 September he converted a penalty for his 100th Bundesliga goal, reaching the mark in 98 matches, Yahoo Sports reported. Bayern go to Viking on Matchday 2 at 1.08 to win, and also face Slavia Praha, Lille and Real Betis in the league phase.

Ferran Torres and Ousmane Dembélé (PSG), 11.00 each

Ferran Torres joined PSG from Barcelona in August for a reported fee of about €50 million, and scored a hat-trick on his Champions League debut for the club in the 6-1 win over Slovan Bratislava. Dembélé scored twice and set up two of Torres’s goals in the same game. The problem is the fixture list. PSG still face Manchester City, Barcelona, Villarreal, Roma, Aston Villa and Como, the hardest remaining run of any favourite, and two forwards share the goals.

Raphinha (Barcelona), 13.00

Raphinha scored twice in the 5-1 win over Feyenoord and leads La Liga with 12 goals in seven games, according to ESPN. He felt a minor thigh problem in Brazil’s friendly with Australia on 29 September, but tests found no structural damage. Penalties are shared with Lamine Yamal: Hansi Flick has said the staff, not he, decide, and that whoever feels ready takes it. Barcelona visit Galatasaray on Matchday 2, as our Galatasaray vs Barcelona prediction covers, then go to PSG.

Longer prices worth a look

  • Ermedin Demirović (Stuttgart), 26.00: a first-half hat-trick against Viking puts him joint top. Stuttgart are 1.29 to win at Slovan Bratislava on Matchday 2, but they are 29.00 to reach the final, so fewer knockout games are likely.
  • Serhou Guirassy (Dortmund), 26.00: two goals against Villarreal, one from the spot. Dortmund’s next two are away at Bodø/Glimt and Sabah.
  • Michael Olise (Bayern), 26.00: two goals and an assist on Matchday 1. He shares a team with Kane, which caps his goals, but he is the man who creates most of Kane’s chances.

Our pick and our value pick

Our pick: Harry Kane at 7.00. He has the penalties, a club built to create chances for him, a scoring run in this competition and a league phase with several soft fixtures. The risk is Bayern finishing in the top eight and playing two fewer games than a rival who goes the long way.

Our value pick: Raphinha at 13.00. He leads La Liga with 12 goals in seven games, scored twice on Matchday 1 and plays in an attack that creates a lot of chances. The risks are the shared penalties and a tough run of PSG and Manchester City.

Keep outright stakes small. The money is tied up until June, and our bankroll management guide shows how to size a long-term bet. For the value side of the argument, read value betting explained.

Champions League most assists odds

Lamine Yamal is the favourite for most assists at 6.00 (16.7% implied), after two assists against Feyenoord. Michael Olise and Ousmane Dembélé are next at 10.00, then Raphinha and Rayan Cherki at 17.00, and Anthony Gordon and Vinícius Jr at 19.00. Dembélé also has two assists already.

The angle we like: Olise at 10.00. His free kick set up Kane’s header against Bodø/Glimt, and his cross set up Kane’s second goal against Union Berlin. With Kane on the end of his deliveries, assists should keep coming. Yamal is a fair favourite, but at 6.00 there is little left in the price.

Frequently asked questions

Who is the favourite for Champions League top scorer 2026/27?

Kylian Mbappé of Real Madrid, at 6.00 in ChampBet odds on 7 October 2026. Erling Haaland is next at 6.50 and Harry Kane at 7.00. Ferran Torres and Ousmane Dembélé of PSG are both 11.00, with Raphinha of Barcelona at 13.00.

Who is the top scorer in the Champions League so far in 2026/27?

After Matchday 1, Ferran Torres of PSG and Ermedin Demirović of Stuttgart lead with three goals each, both from hat-tricks. Erling Haaland, Michael Olise, Raphinha, Ousmane Dembélé and Serhou Guirassy are among the players on two.

Do penalty shoot-out goals count for Champions League top scorer bets?

No. Under ChampBet's rules, goals in 90 minutes and extra time count for the top goalscorer market, but goals in penalty shoot-outs do not. If players finish level, dead-heat rules apply, and the club shown next to a player is for reference only.

Who will win the Champions League golden boot in 2026/27?

Our pick is Harry Kane at 7.00: he takes Bayern's penalties, scored on Matchday 1 and has a kinder run of fixtures than the PSG and Barcelona forwards. Our value pick is Raphinha at 13.00. This is our opinion, and football is unpredictable.
