How to Place a Bet on ChampBet: Singles and Multiples
How to place a bet on ChampBet step by step: pick odds in the W1, X, W2 columns, set your stake, read possible win and the acca bonus, then tap BET NOW.
In this guide
To place a bet on ChampBet, sign in, open Sports, tap the odds for the outcome you want, enter your stake in the bet slip and tap BET NOW. One selection makes a single. Two or more selections from different matches make a multiple, also called an acca. Below is each step on the real sportsbook screens, from reading the W1, X and W2 columns to the accumulator bonus line.
Before you place your first bet
You need an account with money in it. Bets are not valid without enough funds in your balance.
- Register with your phone number, e-mail and a password, then confirm your phone with the 4-digit SMS code. Our ChampBet registration guide shows each screen.
- Deposit from the Deposit button at the top of the screen. ChampBet offers Paystack, Flutterwave, OPay and PalmPay and does not add a fee. See how to deposit on ChampBet.
How to place a single bet on ChampBet
A single is one selection with one stake. It is the simplest bet and the best place to start.
- Open the ChampBet sportsbook. The left menu has Popular Matches, Popular Competitions, Multiple Of The Day, Boosted Odds, Today’s Bets and Upcoming Matches, then every sport under All Sports.
- Pick a sport and competition, for example Football, then Europe, then UEFA Champions League. The matches load in the middle of the screen.
- Find your match. Each row shows the kick-off time and the main prices under WINNER (W1, X, W2), HANDICAP and TOTALS.
- Tap the price for your pick. It turns gold and appears in the bet slip on the right, with the match, the market (for example MATCH RESULT: RB LEIPZIG) and the odds.
- Type your stake into the stake box, or tap a quick stake button: ₦5,000, ₦10,000 or ₦50,000.
- Check POSSIBLE WIN.
- Tap BET NOW.
The pre-match sportsbook: sports menu on the left, match prices in the middle, bet slip on the right.
Your bet stands once ChampBet’s servers accept it and give it a unique transaction ID. You can see it in your bet history.
What the columns mean
| Column | Meaning | Example |
|---|---|---|
| W1 | Home team (listed first) wins | Arsenal to beat Lille |
| X | Draw | Match ends level |
| W2 | Away team (listed second) wins | Lille to beat Arsenal |
| Handicap Home / Away | A team gets a head start or a deficit, shown as +0.5, -1.5 and so on | Arsenal -1.5 needs to win by 2+ |
| Totals Over / Under | Total goals above or below the line in the middle | Over 2.5 needs 3+ goals |
| +363 | Number of extra markets on that match | Corners, cards, both teams to score |
Tap the “+” number to open the match and see every market. Our guide to football betting markets explains each one in plain English.
How possible win is worked out
Possible win is your stake multiplied by the odds, and it includes your stake. A ₦1,000 single at 2.00 shows a possible win of ₦2,000: your ₦1,000 back plus ₦1,000 profit. The slip figure is for information, and every bet is settled at the odds accepted when you placed it. For a fuller explanation of prices, read how betting odds work.
How to place a multiple bet (acca)
A multiple puts selections from two or more matches on one slip with one stake. Every selection must win for it to pay, and the odds multiply together.
- Tap prices on two or more different matches. The slip header changes to MULTIPLE.
- Check each line in the slip. Remove any pick with the X beside it, or clear everything with Remove All.
- Look at ODDS, the total of all your selections multiplied together.
- Enter your stake.
- Read the three lines under the stake: POSSIBLE WIN, ACCUMULATOR BONUS and FINAL PAYOUT.
- Tap BET NOW.
A three-selection multiple: the selected prices are highlighted in gold, and the slip adds an accumulator bonus.
Here is the slip from the screenshot, worked through:
| Line | Figure |
|---|---|
| Selections | RB Leipzig 2.00, Arsenal 1.25, Inter Milan 1.28 |
| Odds | 2.00 × 1.25 × 1.28 = 3.20 |
| Stake | ₦1,000 |
| Possible win | ₦3,200 |
| Accumulator bonus | ₦66 |
| Final payout | ₦3,266 |
The accumulator bonus is automatic on qualifying multiples and is shown in the slip before you bet, so you always see the final payout up front. To understand how extra legs raise the payout but lower your chance, read our guide to accumulator bets.
Two tips for multiples:
- One selection per match. ChampBet’s general terms do not allow two selections from the same match in a normal multiple. To combine markets from one game, use Bet Builder instead.
- Switch to singles if you prefer. Use the dropdown at the top of the slip to change between Single and Multiple, so each pick is settled on its own.
What does “Always ask” mean in the bet slip?
“Always ask” is the odds setting just above the slip. It controls what happens if a price moves between your tap and the bet being accepted. With Always ask, the slip shows you the new odds and waits for your approval instead of placing the bet at a price you did not see. It matters most in live betting, where prices move every minute.
Placing a bet on a live match
Open Live to see matches in play, with the score, time and live prices. The steps are the same as pre-match, with two differences. Prices change quickly, and markets are suspended for a moment after goals, cards and penalties. If your bet does not go through, wait for the market to reopen and check the new price. Our guide to live betting goes deeper, and Cash Out on ChampBet explains how to settle a running bet early.
Placing a bet on your phone
The mobile sportsbook. Your slip lives behind BetSlip in the bottom bar.
The mobile sportsbook works the same way, laid out for one hand:
- Bottom bar: Sports, Live, Menu, BetSlip and Casino. Tap BetSlip to see your selections, stake and BET NOW.
- Top tabs: Event View, Sport Tournaments, Live Calendar and Results.
- Sport tiles: Football, Basketball, Tennis, Volleyball and more, each with the number of events. Tap a country to open its leagues.
- Search and My Teams: use the search button to find a team, or add favourites under My Teams.
Check fixtures and team news before you bet. For English football, the official Premier League match centre lists kick-off times and results. To open ChampBet in one tap, add it to your home screen with our ChampBet mobile guide.
Common mistakes to avoid
- Mixing up W1 and W2. W1 is always the team listed first, which is not always the team you think of as the home side in a neutral venue.
- Forgetting X means draw. If you want “win or draw”, that is a double chance market, not X.
- Leaving started games on a slip. Remove any selection with a warning sign before you stake.
- Betting too big. Bets cannot be cancelled once placed, so stake what you can afford to lose. Our bankroll management guide shows how to size a stake from your budget.
