A bet builder is a single bet made from two or more markets in the same match, for example Arsenal to win, over 2.5 goals and both teams to score. Every part must land for it to pay. On ChampBet, matches that support it show a gold BB icon, and you add extra markets with Add one more BB event in the bet slip. Here is how to build one, how the odds are priced, and when a normal acca is the better choice.

What is a bet builder?

A bet builder combines several markets from one match into one selection with one price. It lets you back a full story of a game: who wins, how many goals, whether both teams score, how many corners. Because the outcomes come from the same match, the sportsbook prices them together rather than simply multiplying the odds.

Why does it need its own tool? In a normal multiple, ChampBet’s general terms do not allow two selections from the same match. A normal acca is built for different games. Bet Builder is the feature made for combining markets inside one game, and it prices the link between them properly.

How to build a Bet Builder on ChampBet

  1. Open the ChampBet sportsbook and pick a competition.
  2. Look for the gold BB icon on the match row, next to the star. It shows the match supports Bet Builder.
  3. Open the match by tapping the “+” market count on the right of the row. Markets that can go into a Bet Builder carry a BB label in their header, and a BB switch sits beside the market tabs (All, Match, Totals, Handicaps).
  4. Tap the price for your first outcome, for example a home win. It lands in the bet slip.
  5. Under that selection in the slip, tap Add one more BB event, then pick another market from the same match, for example Over 2.5 goals.
  6. Repeat for each extra leg. The slip shows one combined price for the whole Bet Builder.
  7. Enter your stake, check POSSIBLE WIN and tap BET NOW.

How are Bet Builder odds calculated?

Bet Builder odds are not the individual prices multiplied together. Outcomes in the same match are related: if a team wins, goals are more likely, and if both teams score, over 1.5 goals has already happened. The sportsbook prices the full combination as one outcome, so the price reflects how often those results really happen together.

Here is an example. The prices are illustrations only, not live odds.

Leg Odds on its own
Home win 2.00
Over 2.5 goals 1.80
Both teams to score (GG) 1.70
Simple multiplication 2.00 × 1.80 × 1.70 = 6.12

If these three legs came from three different matches, 6.12 would be fair maths. In one match they are linked. A home win in a high-scoring game often goes with both teams scoring, so the three tend to land together more often than 6.12 suggests. A Bet Builder price for this trio will usually be lower than 6.12.

The link can work the other way too. Legs that pull against each other, such as a favourite to win with under 1.5 goals, may be priced differently from the simple product. Legs that contradict each other, such as both teams to win, cannot be combined at all. In every case, the price shown in your slip is the one that counts. Bet Builder ideas that make sense

A good Bet Builder tells one clear story about a match. These combinations are examples of how legs fit together, not tips.

Your view of the match Bet Builder legs Why they fit
Strong favourite at home Home win + over 1.5 goals A comfortable win usually needs goals
Open game, two good attacks GG + over 2.5 goals Both scoring gets you most of the way to three
Tight, cagey game Draw + under 2.5 goals Low-scoring games end level more often
Favourite but not by much Home win + under 3.5 goals A narrow win without a goal-fest

Not sure what GG, totals or handicaps mean? Our guide to football betting markets explains each one, and betting terms and meanings covers the rest of the jargon.

Do the research before you build. Recent form, shots and expected goals tell you more than the league table. For English football, Opta Analyst’s Premier League stats are a good free source.

Bet Builder vs accumulator: which should you use?

Use a Bet Builder when your view is about one match. Use an accumulator when you like outcomes in several different matches. The two are priced differently and are treated differently by offers.

Bet Builder Accumulator (acca)
Matches One match Two or more different matches
Odds Priced together as one selection Each leg’s odds multiplied
If one part loses The whole bet loses The whole bet loses
One Leg Down Does not qualify Can qualify: 4+ legs at 1.40+, ₦1,000+ stake

Our accumulator bets guide explains how acca odds multiply and why each extra leg lowers your chance.

Does Bet Builder qualify for One Leg Down?

No. The One Leg Down terms state that bets using the Bet Builder feature do not qualify. They also say selections from the same event, including combined or related markets, count as one selection. So two markets from the same game never count as two legs towards the four you need.

If you want One Leg Down cover, build a normal acca of four or more different matches, each at 1.40 or higher, with a stake of at least ₦1,000. If exactly one leg loses, you get a free bet scaled by the number of legs, up to ten times your stake. Full terms apply on the One Leg Down page, and our guide to One Leg Down acca insurance runs through examples.

Tips for using Bet Builder well

  • Keep it short. Two or three legs that fit your view beat six legs added for a bigger number. Every leg is another way to lose.
  • Check each market’s rules. Football markets settle on 90 minutes plus stoppage time, and some markets have their own rules for abandoned games. The sports betting rules set them out.
  • Check team news. A missing striker changes both the result and the goals markets in one go.
  • Compare with a single. If one leg carries most of your view, a single on that market may be the cleaner bet.
  • Stake within your budget. A higher price comes from a lower chance of winning.

Frequently asked questions

What is a bet builder in betting?

A bet builder is one bet made from two or more markets in the same match, such as a team to win, over 2.5 goals and both teams to score. Every part must win for the bet to pay. The sportsbook prices the whole combination together, because outcomes in one match are linked.

How do I make a Bet Builder on ChampBet?

Open a match that shows the gold BB icon, tap a price in a market marked BB, then tap 'Add one more BB event' under that selection in the bet slip and add another market from the same match. Repeat, check the combined odds, enter your stake and tap BET NOW.

Why are bet builder odds lower than multiplying the odds together?

Because the outcomes are related. If a team wins, the chance of goals in the game is not the same as before. The sportsbook prices the combination as a whole, so linked outcomes that tend to happen together usually get a lower price than the simple multiplied figure.

Does a Bet Builder count for One Leg Down on ChampBet?

No. The One Leg Down terms say bets using the Bet Builder feature do not qualify, and selections from the same event, including combined or related markets, count as one selection. To qualify, you need a normal acca of four or more matches at 1.40 or higher, with at least ₦1,000 staked.
