Cash Out on ChampBet: Full and Partial Cash Out Explained
How cash out and partial cash out work on ChampBet: where to find the button, when it is not available, what it costs you and which offers it rules out.
In this guide
Cash out lets you settle a bet before all its events have finished, for an amount the sportsbook offers at that moment. On ChampBet you can cash out fully or partially, before kick-off or live, on singles and multiples, on selected markets marked with a ($) icon. Below are the exact rules in plain English, how partial cash out works with a naira example, what cashing out costs you, and the offers it rules out.
What is cash out?
Cash Out is a button that ends your bet early. ChampBet offers an amount based on how your selections are doing right now. It can be more than your stake, if your bet is going well, or less, if it is going badly. Once you accept, the bet is settled and the final result makes no difference to what you receive.
That gives you two uses:
- Take a profit early when your bet is ahead and you would rather have the money now than wait for the final whistle.
- Cut a loss when your bet is going wrong and you want part of your stake back.
The amount shown on the button is the total that goes back to your balance, stake included.
How to cash out a bet on ChampBet
- Check for the ($) icon before you bet. Markets that offer Cash Out show a ($) icon in their header. No icon means no Cash Out on that market.
- Place your bet as normal. Our guide on how to place a bet on ChampBet covers every step.
- Find the bet. On a computer, click the ($) or Cash Out button in your open bet or bet history details. On a phone or tablet, go to the History section of your account, open Open Bets or Bet History, and select the Cash Out tab to see your eligible bets.
- Check the amount. This is the full amount you will get back if the cash out goes through.
- Tap Cash Out and confirm.
- Wait a moment. There is a short delay before a request is accepted. If the price changes or the market is suspended in that time, the request may fail. Check the new offer and try again if you still want it.
When it works, the slip confirms it and the bet is settled straight away.
The ($) icon next to a market header, here on Total Goals and Goals Handicap, shows Cash Out is offered on that market.
How does partial cash out work?
Partial cash out lets you bank part of your bet and keep the rest running. In the Cash Out pop-up, move the slider to choose how much of your original stake to cash out, then tap Cash Out. You get that share of the offer now. The rest of your stake stays on the bet at the original odds and is settled on the final result.

Here is an example. The figures are illustrations, and your slip always shows the real amounts.
You stake ₦2,000 on a multiple at total odds of 4.00, so the possible win is ₦8,000. With one match left, the full cash out offer is ₦5,000. You slide to cash out half your stake.
| Amount | |
|---|---|
| Stake cashed out | ₦1,000 of ₦2,000 |
| Paid to you now | ₦2,500 (half of the ₦5,000 offer) |
| Stake still running | ₦1,000 at odds of 4.00 |
| If the bet wins | ₦2,500 + ₦4,000 = ₦6,500 in total |
| If the bet loses | ₦2,500 in total |
Compare that with the other two choices: full cash out pays ₦5,000 whatever happens, and doing nothing pays ₦8,000 or nothing. Partial cash out sits in between.
When is cash out not available?
Cash Out is only offered on selected sports, events and markets, and it can pause or disappear while your bet is running. If you cannot see the button, one of these is usually the reason:
- The market never offered it. No ($) icon on the market means no Cash Out. It is available on a range of sports, including football, tennis and basketball.
- The event has started and is not covered live. Where Cash Out is offered before kick-off on an event ChampBet does not cover in play, it ends once the event starts.
- The market is suspended. Markets pause after goals, red cards and other big moments, and Cash Out pauses with them. Britain’s Gambling Commission explains why cash out gets suspended in its player guidance, and why it is harder on multiples.
- It is a free bet. Free bets can never be cashed out, fully or partially.
- A technical problem. If Cash Out is unavailable for technical reasons, your bet stands as originally placed.
ChampBet can also change, suspend or remove the feature for any event or market, and can reverse a cash out if the bet or market was settled in error. The full wording is in the sports betting rules, under Cash Out Feature.
What does cash out cost you?
Cash out costs you the gap between the offer and what your bet is really worth. The offer is worked out from the current live price, and that price already includes the sportsbook’s margin. So a cash out offer will usually sit a little below the bet’s value at a fair price. That gap is the price of certainty.
An example, with illustration figures:
- You stake ₦1,000 on a home win at 3.00. Possible win: ₦3,000.
- At 75 minutes the home side leads 1-0, and the live price for a home win is now 1.25.
- At that price, your ₦3,000 return is worth about ₦2,400 today (₦3,000 ÷ 1.25).
- A cash out offer will typically come in under that figure, because it is built from prices that include the margin.
There are two other costs to keep in mind:
- You give up the rest of the upside. If the home side holds on, you would have had ₦3,000.
- You may lose an offer. Cashed-out bets are excluded from several promotions (see the next section).

Which ChampBet offers does cash out rule out?
Under ChampBet’s sports rules, any bet settled with Cash Out or Partial Cash Out does not count towards the turnover requirement of any offer. Several offers also exclude cashed-out bets directly:
| Offer | What cashing out does |
|---|---|
| Champion’s Kickoff | A first bet that uses Cash Out, full or partial, does not count as the qualifying bet |
| One Leg Down | Bets that use Cash Out, full or partial, do not qualify for the free bet |
| Weekly Sports Cashback | Cashed-out bets are left out of the weekly cashback calculation |
| Sports Bonus wagering | Cashed-out bets do not count towards the turnover you need to complete |
| Free bets | Cannot be cashed out at all |
So if you build a four-leg acca for One Leg Down acca insurance, cashing out ends that cover, even if exactly one leg would later have lost. Full terms apply to every offer. Our guide to ChampBet cashback explains the weekly cashback in more detail.
When does cashing out make sense?
Cashing out makes sense when something has changed your view of the bet, not just your nerves. Decide before kick-off what would make you cash out, and stick to it.
Good reasons:
- The facts changed. An injury, a red card or a tactical switch makes your selection less likely than when you bet.
- One leg left on a big acca. If the offer is close to what you think the last leg is worth, banking it, or banking part of it, can be sensible.
- Get your stake back. A partial cash out that returns your stake lets the rest run with nothing more to lose.
Weak reasons:
- Cashing out every bet out of habit. You pay the margin each time, and over many bets that adds up.
- Cashing out to bet again straight away. That is chasing. Our bankroll management guide shows a calmer way to set stakes.
Cash out is most useful in play, where prices move fast. Our guide to live betting explains how in-play markets work, and accumulator bets explained covers cash out on multiples.

Open ChampBet Live and look for the ($) icon on the markets you want before you bet. If you are planning to use an offer, check its terms first, because cashing out can take the bet out of it.
Frequently asked questions
What does cash out mean in betting?
Cash out means settling a bet before all its events have finished, for an amount the sportsbook offers at that moment. The offer depends on how your selections are doing and can be more or less than your stake. Once you accept, the final result no longer affects what you get.
What is partial cash out?
Partial cash out lets you settle part of your bet now and leave the rest running. On ChampBet, you use the slider in the Cash Out pop-up to choose how much of your stake to cash out. The remaining stake stays on the bet and is settled on the final result.
Why is cash out not showing on my bet?
Cash Out is only offered on selected sports, events and markets, marked with a ($) icon. It also pauses while a market is suspended, for example just after a goal, and ends at kick-off for pre-match bets on events not covered live. Free bets can never be cashed out.
Can I cash out a free bet on ChampBet?
No. ChampBet's sports betting rules state that all free bets are unavailable for Cash Out and Partial Cash Out. A free bet runs until it is settled on the final result. If it wins, the winnings are paid without the free bet stake.
Does a cashed-out bet count for ChampBet promotions?
Usually not. Bets settled with Cash Out or Partial Cash Out do not count towards the turnover requirement of any offer. They also do not qualify for Champion's Kickoff or One Leg Down, and they are left out of the Weekly Sports Cashback calculation.
